Telkom Smart Campus Award 2010

One more brilliant achievement was inscribed by Universitas Brawijaya (UB). UB received “Telkom Smart Campus Award (TeSCA) 2010″, an award presented by PT Telkom in cooperation with the Directorate General of Higher Education (Dikti) related to the development of information and communication technology (ICT) in campus. UB got the award as The Most Interactive Local Node which was received by the Head of Assessment and Development of Information Technology (PPTI) UB, Raden Arief Setiawan, S.T., M.T., on 8th December 2010 in Jakarta.

ISO 9001:2008

The certification process of QMS ISO 9001:2008 for all working units in UB began with the socialization to all of them. System evaluation process and implementation of QMS ISO 9001:2008 in the UKPA and UKPPA were done through Internal Quality Audit (AIM) UKPA Cycle 8 and Cycle 9 , and AIM UKPPA Cycle 1, Cycle 2 and Cycle 3. The certification of QMS ISO 9001:2008 in UB using similar ISO certification services, namely the Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).

On November 14, 2011, UB formally received ISO 9001:2008 within “higher education academic services (undergraduate and graduate), including its supporting activities” which was symbolized with the certificate of ISO 9001:2008 No.JKT6003728.

Technology Cooperation with Google

Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Malang cooperates with Google to develop Information and Communication Technology (ICT) programs. Google works with UB in the provision of Google Apps Education, a cloud-based technology collaboration tool entitled “Goes Google in Universitas Brawijaya”. UB’s students can access the services as the result of cooperation with Google through the website called Gapura. Google Google Apps for Education is started to provide UBStudentMail account supported by Google technology.
